Parent and Family Education Major
Concordia University's Parent and Family Education major prepares students to work and interact with a variety of age groups through studies of psychology, sociology, and communication.
Child development is studied with courses focused on child psychology, language development, and children with special needs and translating these aspects into teaching infants and toddlers.
Adult education and development is also explored and expanded on in the study of group communication, diversity, and relationships.
Students will solidify understanding of families as a whole as well as parent and child relations and will become skilled in educating these groups through coursework in family structure, relations and communication.
