Keith J. Williams
I love making music, but clay art gave my life direction in the 1970s. Drawing, and a passion for art history followed in the 1980s. My deepest professional joy though comes form teaching. So my continuing challenge is to balance teaching with making and showing art, helping dozens of majors find their own voices in art, and being chair of a dynamic, growing program.
Personal Notes:
# I own over 40 hats and always have one on. (They present my hardest wardrobe decisions.)
# My ’82 Honda Civic Wagon took me 230,000 miles. (I loved that it only had one working wiper.)
# I was born the same year as Sputnik. (Look it up.)
# I am aware that my abuse of puns and clever word-play amuses mostly me.
# I endure three ceremonial haircuts per year.
Current Favorite Artists' Quotes:

“If I’m thinking while I’m working then I’m lost.” - Peter Voulkos
