2011-2012 Theme of the Year: "We are God's people."
The theme comes from a hymn text(set to a melody by Johannes Brahms from Symphony 4). The hymn is We are God's People with references to Psalm 95: "Come let us sing to the Lord. We are God's people and the sheep of His pasture."

Lutheran Heritage Scholarship for LCMS Members
A scholarship at Concordia University, St. Paul is available for students who belong to a LCMS (Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod) congregation who are interested in our undergraduate, adult undergraduate and graduate programs!- $2000 per year for freshmen and transfer students for undergraduate programs
- $2000 for length of program ($500 per term) for adult undergraduate and graduate students.
Students must be accepted and have financial aid forms completed. When applying, they must indicate which LCMS congregation they belong to.

Join the Dig at Hippos of the Decapolis 2012
For the last decade Concordia University, Saint Paul has been a partner with the University of Haifa in the archaeological excavations at Hippos of the Decapolis, the "city set on a hill" to which Jesus referred (Matt 5:14). Concordia's team is seeking adult volunteers for the 2012 season at Hippos scheduled for 1 - 26 July 2012. CSP Advancement Office Offers Charitable Giving Seminars
The Office of University Advancement at Concordia University, St. Paul is offering the services of their planned giving staff to do charitable giving seminars for churches and organizations. Their presentation will cover the Christian perspective of wills, estates and charitable gift planning. They are also available to meet individually with congregation members in their personal planning and their desire to include their church, Concordia University, St. Paul and/or other ministries. Stohlmann CD-ROM for Laity
Rev. Dr. Stephen C. Stohlmann, professor of Hebrew, Old Testament and Doctrine, has developed a CD-ROM consisting of a two-part study of Law and Gospel for laity. The first part, "Having Ears that Hear" is a seven lesson Bible study on the nature and functions of the Word of God. The second is an eight chapter study titled "Accusation: Demonic or Divine," which is designed to explore the paradox of how both God and Satan are at work in the Law of God. All proceeds go towards church work scholarships at Concordia. To order the CD-ROM, please contact Amy Scholz, Director of Church Relations at 651-603-6273.
