Important notice regarding course registration for Fall 2012 courses:

Students will no longer register for SCS courses through the SCS website.

Students will register through CSP Connect on the Grades and Registration tab, in the Registration box, "add and drop classes" link.

Students may still Search for classes on the Continuing Studies website or the CSP connect "look up classes" link. Click here to see how to register. 
When serching for classes in CSP Connect: 
Choose "Continuing Studies" - online or classroom
*Do not choose cohort classes as that pertains to program majors.
*Do not choose traditional delivery as that pertains to traditional day students, not adult cohort students.
 

COURSE SCHEDULING:
The School of Continuing Studies courses are scheduled within Concordia terms which are divided in two parts of terms, each being seven weeks in duration.
DROP/ADD REFUND POLICY FOR COHORT AND SCS STUDENTS
Every student has the first five days (before the sixth day) from the start of each part of term to drop a class.
After that period each student has until the end of the fifth week (before the beginning of the sixth week) of that part of term to withdraw from a course and receive a W grade. After the fifth week of that part of term the student will receive a letter grade for a course.

FALL 2012

Cohort/SCS First Half Term Begins: September 10, 2012

Last Day to Add is Sept 9
Last day to Drop (without record) first half term course: September 16, 2012 (100% Refund)

Last Day to Withdraw (receive "W" grade) first half term course: October 14, 2012

Cohort/SCS Second Half Term Begins: October 29, 2012

Last Day to Add is Oct 28, 2012
Last Day to Drop (without record) second half term course: November 4, 2012 (100% Refund)
Last Day to Withdraw (receive "W" grade) second half term course: December 2, 2012
Cohort/SCS Full Term: September 10-December 21, 2012
Last Day to Add a full semester course: September 16, 2012
Last Day to Drop (without record) a full semester course:  September 23, 2012 (100% Refund)

Last Day to Withdraw (receive "W" grade) full semester course: November 11, 2012

Spring 2013
Cohort/SCS First Half Term Begins: January 14, 2013

Last Day to Add is January 19
Last Day to Drop (without record) first half term course: January 20, 2013 (100% Refund)

Last Day to Withdraw (receive "W" grade) first half term course:  February 17, 2013

Cohort/SCS Second Half Term Begins: March 4, 2013
Last Day to Add March 3, 2013
Last Day to Drop (without record) second half term course: March 10, 2013 (100% Refund)

Last Day to Withdraw (receive "W" grade) second half term course: April 14, 2013

Cohort/SCS Full Term: January 14, 2013 - April 26, 2013
Last Day to Add a full semester course: January 20, 2013 (end week 1)

REGISTRATION RESTRICTION FORMS are found on CSP connect under the "Grades and Registration" tab
Registration restriction forms
should be initiated by students working with their academic advisors to create and process.
When are registration restrictions forms needed:
Late adds - after term class registration date
Drop after the term drop date
Drop or Withdraw after the term withdraw date
Change of Major/program
UNIVERSITY WITHDRAW/LEAVE OF ABSENSE are found on CSP connect under the "Grades and Registration" tab
Univerity withdraw
forms are initiated by students working with their academic advisors to process
When are Univeristy Withdraw/Leave of Absense forms needed:
Stopping your studies for a term or more
If dropping the last or only course in a term

HOLDS

Students on financial or academic holds will not be allowed to register for the next term.  If they are already pre-registered for a term and have an outstanding balance from the previous term they will be dropped from their classes and Bb access will be disabled. 
Financial Aid Hold: If you have a financial hold please contact your financial aid counselor. You can find your financial aid counselor contact information on your CSP connect "Financial Aid and Billing" tab.
Academic Hold: If you have a academic hold please contact your academic advisor. You can find your advisor  contact information on your CSP connect "Advising and Student Resource" tab.
COURSE REGISTRATION
Questions concerning your course selection or the registration process should be directed to  your academic advisor.Your academic advisor's contact information may be found on the Advising and Students Resources tab on your CSP Connect pages.

VISITING STUDENTS  are not admitted, non degree seeking through Concordia University and will receive registration help through the Registrar's office by completing and submitting a visiting student's form. In approximately five days students will be given a network ID and password to register for classes.  Visiting students may search for classes on the SCS website or through the CSP website. Students are also required to make an online tuition payment.
