The SEAT
program is a wonderful opportunity for teaching assistants and
educational assistants to become fully licensed and practicing
teachers. The students in the SEAT program enter with rich
backgrounds developed through their experiences in life and in
schools. The students are able to relate their work to their
learning and are provided opportunities to connect practice with
theory. Started in 1998, the program has been a blessing to many
students, faculty, and the children with whom they interact.
