Under the auspices of the College of Vocation and Ministry, Concordia University St. Paul supports four professional church work programs and two areas of specialty study. The professional church work programs include: Director of Christian Education, Director of Christian Outreach, Director of Parish Music, and Lutheran Classroom Teacher. Each of these offices are rostered commissioned ministries of The Lutheran Church?Missouri Synod. The specialty studies include pre-pastoral education and pre-deaconess education; both leading to advanced studies at the seminary level for final admission to ministry.
Each preparation program entails a carefully designed academic component. Each program has in place the support system to advise and counsel students as they work their way through the curriculum.
